We strive to ensure the Prim.Docker is as problem-free as possible. However, there are some issues that may affect your building experience.
Prim.Docker will align the vast majority of prims encountered during a build. However, some things will cause misaligments:
- Prim Drift - this occurs when you align a prim and then later on
you find that your prim has moved a bit even though you did not move it yourself.
This is due to server lag/bugs and is not the fault of Prim.Docker. Having
the client script in the prim not does affect prim drift. This is usually an intermittent
even and does not affect everyone. Usually in an hour or two the drift stops.
- Highly Customized Prims - Prim.Docker works best when the edge
of the prim actually touches the prim bounding box. In some prims that have
been cut, twisted, etc there is a gap between the actual prim and it's bounding
box. Prim.Docker aligns the prim bounding box, not the actual prims themselves.
So aligning prims with the gap in the bounding box will always appear to be misaligned
when actually their bounding boxes really are. Unfortunately, the LSL scripting
language does not let us find out what the actual bounding box is for a highly customized
prim. The solution is to use Prim.Docker to get the alignment close, then
close the final gap by hand.
- Huge Prims - Prim.Docker does not support the alignment of huge
prims (> 10m). Huge prims have not been officially supported by Linden
Labs.
- Cannot Get a Blue Base Prim - If you have a blue base prim, then delete the prim without first pressing the CLEAR buttno on the HUD, all other prims
you click will only be able to turn green. To fix this, click on the CLEAR
button on the HUD, then click on your base prim.
- Cannot Align Across Sim Boundaries - The HUD and the client scripts must be in the same region. There is no workaround for this.
- Cannot Align Below Ground - Prim.Docker only works with prims above ground.
- Filling a Gap Fills it in the Wrong Axis - For gap filling only, Prim.Docker requires you to not rotate the prim before the gap prim is resized to fill the gap. After the gap prim has been resize, you can rotate it.
- I Have Lots of Client Scripts in Play and it is Lagging - Prim.Docker will not lag the server much with up to 100 client scripts in use in the prims that you control. More than that and it will lag. Purge, and purge often!
- The HUD maximizes when I log in even though it was minimized when I logged out. - This is a bug and will be fixed in a future version.
- If I have a blue base prim and several green client prims, clicking the blue prim and then clicking another prim causes the prim to turn blue as base but HUD actions do not affect the selected prim set. - This is a bug an will be fixed in a future version. As a workaround, press CLEAR on the HUD before you need to select a different base prim.
